The Inogen One G4 replacement column pair is a particular component, not a replacement name for every filter in the concentrator. Inogen’s G4 technical manual identifies the column pair as RP-406. That reference helps identify what to ask for. It does not authenticate the archived retailer item or tell you that replacing columns will resolve a fault.

Keep three component names separate

The manual’s maintenance materials list distinguishes the column pair RP-406, particle filter RP-405 and output-filter replacement kit RP-404. A listing that uses filter and column loosely can therefore leave the important question unanswered: which part is actually offered?

Give the supplier the exact G4 model and the part description you have been shown. Ask for a match to the current manufacturer instructions and the supplied part label. Do not order a visually similar component because the name sounds close.

Identification is not a service instruction

The inspected document is technical manual 96-06917-00-01, revision A. Its parts list is useful for identification; this review does not convert a provider document into a patient maintenance lesson.

Ask who is meant to perform the replacement, which instructions apply to your unit and how the supplier will confirm the system is ready for use afterward. If an alarm or change in operation prompted the search, report that exact issue. A shopping article cannot diagnose it or authorize a reset.

No removal steps, latch sequence, dust-cap handling or service interval is supplied here. Those details belong in the applicable instructions and training, not an abbreviated retail review.

What remains unresolved before purchase

The documented component identity is the useful finding. We have not examined a delivered column pair, verified a retail item’s provenance or tested oxygen output after replacement. Claims about effortless fitting, guaranteed purity or improved health would go beyond that finding.

Request the exact item identification before considering price or pack value. If the seller cannot establish which part is being supplied, the parts-list reference should not be used to fill the gap on the seller’s behalf. The purchase verdict remains open pending that match.

Evidence and limits

Manufacturer technical manual revision A, page 6 section 3.1.2, supports component identification. It is not a current individualized service instruction. No independent performance testing or retail authentication is claimed.
